On Safari With Shannon and Amanda 13 January 2016

13 January 2016

Early start this morning on our safari with Todd and Laura. We headed out of camp at 4:30am where we encountered a herd of elephants with their calves.

While driving down towards Skukuza for breakfast we were welcomed by a family of very friendly spotted hyena whom entertained us for 45min around and under the vehicle. Their pups were quite curious to smell the vehicle as well as lick the sides of our doors. After being washed off by them we made our way down further in which we had laughs and very interesting conversations.

We had various sightings of rhino, impala, zebra, blue wildebeest and buffalo.

After breakfast we made our way back to camp for our break at 11:30 in which we could have  our time off and enjoy the camp and all it has to offer.

We started our afternoon drive at 15:30 and found ourselves a surprise along the way. A leopard in a tree roughly 50m from us in a very lazy mood not to keen to go anywhere. We sat watching this graceful but lazy animal and enjoyed our time with him.

On our return back to camp we were pleased to call it a successful day and cant wait to see what tomorrow has to offer. Once again a great day in the Park.
