6 Day Wilderness Southern Kruger Park Safari

On this magnificent 6 day Wilderness Adventure Safari you can choose to enter the famed Kruger National Park from the game rich Southern area, or from the North where Elephant are plentiful. All day after glorious day you ride an open safari vehicle with experienced safari guides to try to spot Africa’s most elusive big game – the ‘Big 5!’

Experience the thrill of alighting upon a massive Elephant Bull in a thicket, or the serene splendour of witnessing the long necked Giraffe munching leaves from the tree tops. A myriad of birdlife adorn the skies above his head and in the shade of another tree you spot a majestic Rhino taking his siesta.

You marvel at the variety of wildlife you spot, from the big cat predators to timid antelope, reptiles and insects alike, that all inhabit this incredible wilderness.
The highlight of the week is a thrilling night drive. You recognise the familiar ‘hoot’ of the Owl and gaze into the glowing eyes of a pack of Wild dogs scavenging on a predator’s left overs. You may even spot the elusive, mostly nocturnal Leopard as he seeks his supper.

Back at camp you take drinks around the campfire, reflect on the safari and are lulled to sleep in comfortable accommodations by the roar of a Lion and the mocking laughter of the Hyena.
All inclusive are: comfortable chalet accommodations with en-suite facilities and air conditioning; all transport to and from Johannesburg, Pretoria and Oliver Tambo airport – and open safari vehicles in the park; breakfasts and dinners, registered professional safari guides; All day and one night safaris and conservation fees.

Come and join us for 6 spectacular days and five fabulous nights on this adventure safari of a lifetime. Africa awaits you and unforgettable memories are waiting to be made!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Johannesburg - Kruger Park (D)

On entering the Kruger Park through the Numbi Gate we make our way on towards the camp of Pretoriuskop for a lunch break before departing on our first game drive of the day where we have the opportunity of spotting Rhino, Elephant and other species of Antelope doing what they do best eating. We make our way to our Camp for the evening arriving just before gate closing time. After checking in you’ll get a chance to freshen up in your chalet before joining others for dinner at the camp’s restaurant. Your guide will let you know the time to meet him outside the restaurant.

Day 2 Kruger Park (B-D)

Everything starts early in the Kruger park in order to have a greater chance of seeing game, we depart from the camp and get on the road when the gates open. We’ll stop at one of the picnic areas en-route to our next camp for breakfast hoping to spot our elusive Leopard or possibly finding a pride of Lions on the prowl. After breakfast we continue on our game drive looking out for any birds of interest or antelope along the way.

You’ll see plenty of Zebra and Wildebeest grazing on the open grass plain, tall elegant Giraffes, their heads among the branches of the acacia trees, and a family of Elephants crossing the road ahead of you. You’ll see plenty of birds too – there are more than 500 species present in the Park during our summer months. We’ll get back to camp at mid afternoon and this will give you time to relax before dinner and then departing on your Night Safari. A National Parks ranger will be in charge of the two-hour night drive in an open sided truck.

Day 3 - Kruger Park (B-D)

Today we’ll slowly make our way up to next Camp, arriving for check in after 14h00pm allowing you time to check in and have a break from the vehicle before departing late afternoon on another game drive before dusk and the camps gates close, or if you prefer relaxing in the camp for the rest of the afternoon you may do so enjoying listening to the birds singing in the trees or just taking a nap. Dinner is in the restaurant at 19h00pm where your guide will discuss the event for the next day.
