On the first night of safari, the weather changed drastically and I believe had an impact on the game viewing. Although really quiet, the guests did spot a huge elephant bull and were able to spend time with him as he moved slowly towards the road. Entertaining our guests as he shook his head and continuously pointed his trunk in their direction. After coming right up to the vehicle, he moved across the road and head on his way in search of more to eat.

As we had limited time with our clients we set off at 6am which proved to be to early as very little was spotted in the first hour of the drive. As soon as the sun touched the grass, it started to improve with General animals been spotted.

Although the sun disappeared behind the clouds, we were in for a good drive and found Rhino, elephant, buffalo, Lions and leopard before we stopped at camp for a coffee break.

Quiet a crazy day as we then continued to drive around looking for more and found yet another set of Lions, Leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Together with the general game that we spotted, this had to be a good day in anyone's books.

One of the highlights was at the Hyena den, we watched how sub- adults removed the number plate from a visitors car and carry it off with them towards the den.

Each one trying to get a chance to hold the number plate as a trophy.

This was our last morning and seen all we did yesterday we decided just to relax and drive around looking at landscapes, vegetation and animal spoor's. Then it was time to bid the Kruger Park farewell and head for the airport where the tour was completed by a warm Goodbye.

Today was a nice cool and cloudy day, perfect conditions for game viewing. We set out early morning and early on found a female Spotted Hyena at a den. She was very relaxed, lying next to the road at the den entrance, with one of her adorable cubs, about 3 weeks old, popping out of the den for a bit just giving us a quick sighting before going back into hiding, a great start to the day!

We then had a couple of very nice Elephant sightings, First a large breeding herd, about 50 strong, came down to a waterhole as we arrived there and all lined up along the water's edge to drink, with some of the youngsters getting playful in the mud. Later we found a large bull about 3 meters from the road, very relaxed and leisurely feeding on a Marula tree. He was specifically enjoying the branches and we watched in astonishment as he repeatedly crunched up branches as thick as a human arm accompanied by some rather loud cracking noises and savoring every mouthful!

The highlight of the day came while we were watching a large Waterbuck bull overlooking a drainage line. Suddenly a leopard appeared from the reeds and was apparently stalking the waterbuck who was unaware of its presence. It then spotted the leopard and started threatening it as the leopard tried to look extremely disinterested in the large antelope. We then watched as the leopard continued walking through the grass and eventually jumped up a Marula tree where it lay in full view and perfect light for about 15minutes surveying the surroundings. It eventually got down from the tree and crossed the road in front of us and disappeared in the tall grass, a fitting end to a great day and as far as leopard sightings go we could not have asked for better!

A full day ahead of us today with my Melbonites and leanne, as my guests wanted to see lions and they've been scarce lately!

Beautiful elephants , giraffes and a glorious sunrise were first on the menu today on a cool morning in the park.

We arrived at skukuza for a coffee and leg stretch after a lovely panoramic view from mantikenyane koppie always a special place.

Driving towards high level bridge along eloff we saw a few cars ahead and on our right was a massive male leopard with a fresh Bushbuck kill, a few meters from the road! Amazing and so handsome.

After taking pics and spending time with him we headed off to the bridge, in the middle of the sand river we saw what looked like a log, but, was in fact a female lioness lying quite peacefully watching impalas and a magnificent herd of at least 10 Sable antelope. They were all aware of each other but the lioness had definitely lost the element of surprise if she was intending to hunt!

Satisfied we headed back to camp for a cool off before a lovely supper and an early night as it was my Australian guests last drive in the morning.

Setting off and packing up we loaded into the vehicle for my guests last drive. Not more than 2kms from the gate they were greeted by a small pride of lions eating a couple of meters from the road! What a great way to start the day. A quick turn onto Shitlave dam and at the dam were 2 female lionesses. Amazing way for my guests to end their last day in the Kruger as they set off for further adventures in Africa.

We left camp at 6 and headed straight to skukuza for breakfast. Elephants and giraffes on the road and plenty of zebras today. A detour along watergat road at the waterhole we found a beautiful leopard sunning himself. We all sat and watched as impala came down to drink and he crouched ready to pounce, luckily for the impala they spotted him and he sulked off behind the bushes, where he stayed before being chased away by a herd of buffalos.

Breakfast was delicious and after a drive along Napi road we arrived back at camp to relax for a night drive, as we drove into camp and parked up we heard the leopard outside the camp so who knows what the night will bring for my guests!!!
