On Safari With Amanda 8 January 2016

8 January 2016

Beautiful rain last night and early morning.. temperature was lovely and cool perfect for my guests last drive.

All packed up ready for departure we headed off towards napi after there was news of wild dogs catching a baby impala, the same two that I saw last week but, alas it wasn't meant to be, we watched though a female impala looking down at a drainage line and, we assumed that's where the dogs were.

As we turned onto the dirt road we came across a large herd of impalas and the young ones were jumping around chasing each other it was like they were rejoicing in the cool weather!

General plains game, zebras, wildebeest and lovely close up giraffe were seen.

With an hour to go we went to fayi loop and sat and watched the bee eaters flying above us lots of rollers today too adding spectacular colour to an overcast day.

Time for us to leave my guests as they headed off to Cape Town another part of this diverse country.
