On Safari With Curtis From 9 August 2015

9 August 2015

Today my guests went out on a sunset drive and although the sightings were scarce they still enjoyed the experience.

10 August 2015

This morning wasn't too cold but the overcast and windy conditions were a hindrance to sightings.

Our first highlight was a buffalo herd crossing. When we arrived a small pocket of twenty were crossing the road and we thought we had arrived at the end of the sighting.

We were wrong as suddenly a huge herd appeared from nowhere and proceeded to cross the road. A herd I would estimate to be around three hundred!!

Our second highlight was a lovely sighting of wild dog. We had just missed a possible leopard sighting when we found five dogs lying down right in the middle of the road. They had obviously just eaten as their faces were still bloody.

We watched for some time until a few rather impatient drivers tried to squeeze by and so the dogs got up and walked off the road.

Also today we saw hippo, zebra, wildebeest, vervets, crocodile, elephants, white rhino, giraffe, warthog, waterbuck and kudu.
