On Safari With Curtis 11 August 2015

11 August 2015

Another cold and overcast morning and we even had a little shower in the early part of the drive.

The highlights of this drive was two new species.  The first a hyena sighting as we found a lone hyena laying outside the entrance of its den.

Our second was the lion sightings we had, the guests were desperate for a lion and we finally managed to find a big old male lying about five meters from the road.

We had sightings of elephants, buffalo, white rhino, vervets, baboons, Impala, duiker, steenbok, bushbuck, kudu, waterbuck, giraffe, warthog, zebra, wildebeest, hippo and a squirrel.

Birds included white backed vulture, Maribor stork, yellow billed hornbill, cape glossy starling and African fish eagle.
