On Safari With Robbie 9 April 2015

9 April 2015

Today we set out in a positive frame of mind heading for Satara! There were so many highlights for Gary and Wendy that I got them to choose 2!

Their first choice was the 4 in a row large bird species we spotted in less than 20 min! Firstly a pair of Cori bustards , then 3 Ground Hornbills, then a pair of Secretary birds and then 12 Ostriches together!!

Before coming with Nhongo safaris these 2 avid guests had never id any birds before! They are now keen birders!!!!

Second highlight was a W.Rhino and its young calf spotted grazing in the late afternoon sun whilst been perturbed by 3 large Elephant herds that crossed around them! The Rhino didn’t seemed that worried and eventually crossed the road in front of us!

We saw plenty general game as well as Leopard, Buffalo and Hippo!
