Gary and Wendy
have quickly realized why the Northern part of Kruger is so special and
unique!!...
On our morning
drive today we only came across 2 other vehicles in 4 hours! Most sightings
were experienced by us alone and the vastness of the area still blows my mind!!
A huge and
very old 1 tusk bull Elephant entertained us for 45 minutes gracefully feeding
next to the road and family herds were seen on no less than 6 occasions!
Buffalo herds
in the hundreds were everywhere with many calves!!
Tsessebe and Reedbuck
were ticked off for the first time on the ever so enthusiastic 2"s
checklist!!
Our highlight
was a Kori bustard which ran on the road in front of us for ages!!!
Later we got
another one and some superb pics of it flying close to us!!!
A pair of
black backed Jackal were also seen , as well as Impala, Kudu and Steenbok!!
Gary summed it
all up .. " just to be up here is a highlight!!"
Tomorrow we
journey further North ... Direction Shingwedzi!!!
