On Safari With Curtis 20 October 2015

20 October 2015

A quiet morning by recent standards but we did enjoy two very nice sightings. The first one a white rhino.

We found it close to the road and were able to pull up next to it and enjoyed as it casually sauntered up even closer. It got within five meters continually grazing before it decided it wanted to cross the road.

Our second sighting was a big bull elephant which again was just meters away. We watched it as it systematically stripped the leaves from a sickle bush.

It then decided greenery wasn't enough as it started to chow on a few branches of the same tree. As you can imagine not much was left of that plant after a six tonner had finished with it.

Nevertheless it is always nice to sit and just watch the behavior of the different species as they go about their daily life!!!
