On Safari With Robbie 10 April 2015

10 April 2015

Today turned out extraordinary in many ways!

For example we topped 100 birds ticked at 8:55 am which isnt bad!!!

We saw 4 W.rhino, the largest Elephant bulls near Tshokwane which the local field ranger said is becoming one of the new "magnificent 7" !!!

We saw an absolute abundance of general game everywhere and 2 huge Buffalo herds near Shingwedzu and Skukuza respectively!

We spotted the local camp Honey badger residents but even better we got one running next to us near the Sweni river!!!!

Naturally our daily highlight as chosen by myself was the 5 mating lions we got over a distance of 15 km!

This was an extremely rare occurrence as we did get to see 3 of the pairs mating right in front of us!!!

The photographic opportunities were out of this world!!!!

The second highlight as chosen by my guest Gary was 2 Cheetah seen stalking impala in a great open area for brilliant visual!

The 3d highlight for today as chosen by Wendy was seeing the big 5 in less than 2 hours this afternoon!!!!!

One cannot digest today but it did happen!
