On Safari With Curtis 29 June 2015

29 June 2015

Today turned out to be a rather fruitless day in respect of cat sightings but we did still manage to get some great sightings of other species.

One of these was a rhino sighting, although we had seen numerous rhinos yesterday this one ended up being the best of them as the rhino walked past our vehicle and over the road giving us a clear view of it.

The second highlight was hyena or too be more precise a family of hyena. Mum or babysitter were busy sleeping in the shade but the youngsters were all having lots of fun. The youngsters seemed to be of mixed ages with some having all their spotter coat while a couple where still totally black and yet to get their spots.

We also saw plenty of elephants, buffalo, zebra, kudu, waterbuck, giraffes, warthog, Impala, common duiker, banded mongoose, tree squirrel, hippo and vervets.

Birds included hornbills, white backed vultures, magpie shrike and brown snake eagle.
