Kruger Park Best Of Both Worlds Collection Johannesburg:

You will be picked up between 7.00 and 7.30 am from our pickup points which are Melville McDonalds, Radison Blue Gautrain, City Lodge Kathrine Street, Hilton Hotel Sandton, OR Tambo Protea Hotel and the Shoestring Hostel or from any early morning flight into Johannesburg International (Oliver Tambo) Airport arriving before 07h00 Then we take a leisurely 4 hours’ drive through Mpumalanga Province to its capital, Nelspruit.
A break in Nelspruit giving you time to use the Restrooms.
Another 45 minute drives up to the Kruger National Park, where we enter the game-rich Southern region of the park by the Numbi Gate.

If you’re flying into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, your Game Ranger will pick you up off your midday flight. Then there’s a leisurely 35 minute drive up to the Kruger National Park, where we enter the game-rich Southern region of the park by the Numbi Gate.


Kruger Park Best of Both Worlds Safari Itinerary




Day 1: Johannesburg - Kruger Park (D)

From Numbi Gate we drive towards Pretoriuskop camp allowing you time to enjoy lunch in the camp before departing at 14h00pm/ 15h00pm on your first game drive of the afternoon. Pretoriuskop camp has quite a number of entertaining monkeys running around and you will also be able to see the resident Impala Antelope that have made the camp their home.


Before gate closing time we depart for our Luxury tented camp Nkambeni which is home for the next three nights.  Nkambeni tented lodge is situated 10km west of the camp of Pretoriuskop within the Kruger National Park.


The lodge consists of Luxury timber and canvas suites with twin beds, bathroom en-suite with an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as a viewing deck overlooking the African Bushveld, where you may spot various antelope, elephants, rhino or lion coming down to the waterhole in front of the dining area where the resident Hippo are at play.   You may also wish to enjoy an afternoon swim before dinner.  A full bar is also available for all drinks and sundowners.  This lodge is totally eco friendly without impacting on the environment and is run by the community which lives outside the boundaries of the Kruger National Park.


Once check in has been completed you will be escorted to your suite which is home for the next three nights.  Dinner will be served in the dining hall from 18h30pm to 21h00pm, where a buffet dinner will be served with various salads, vegetables and meats, catering for Vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers.  A dessert table is also offered with numerous desserts, tea and coffee is also available to enjoy after dinner.



Days 2: Kruger Park (B D)

Everything starts early in the Kruger park in order to have a greater chance of seeing the elusive cats still on the prowl.  Breakfast will be enjoyed before this activity or after depending on your guides itinerary for the day, normally we have breakfast at 06h00am and depart at 06h30am, but in the warmer summer months you may depart earlier depending on your guide. You will return to camp mid – afternoon giving you time to relax next to the pool or enjoy a siesta in your air-conditioned cabin before departing on a Sundowner Drive, which allows you time to enjoy a drink and snacks on a beautiful rocky outcrop while enjoying the sunset and the start of your night drive with a spotlight allowing you time to enjoy the stars and night life returning to camp after dark for a sumptuous dinner served once again in the dining room overlooking the waterhole.



Days 3: Kruger Park (B D)

This morning after breakfast at 07h00am you will be collected by your guide at 08h00am for a tour of the Panorama Route. From Hazyview, the tour begins as you climb up towards the town of Graskop and the Southern most point of the Blyde River Canyon. The Panorama Route encompasses some spectacular scenery and is the third largest Canyon in the world. You will visit Gods Window, Berlin Falls, the Three Rondavels and Bourkes Lucke Potholes – which are deep cylindrical cavities formed by thousands of years of water erosion at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers. We also pay a visit to Pilgrims rest the old gold mining town dating back to the days of the gold rush in the late 1800’s. We shall return to Graskop for lunch (Own Account) and if time permits you may wonder around the streets where there are some beautiful Art Galleries and Curio Shops. You will make your way back to Nkambeni at around 16h00pm. Dinner will be served at 19h00pm.



Day 4: Kruger Park - Johannesburg (B)

This morning you have the opportunity of going out early morning enjoying a three hour bush walk conducted by rangers from Nkambeni Lodge. This gives you the chance of coming into contact with antelope, as well as larger members of the Big 5 family enjoying the plant life and smaller insects and spoor of various animals. You will return to camp for breakfast at 08h30am after which you can freshen up and we depart from camp at 09h30am for our onward journey back to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport arriving by 11h30am or onward to Johannesburg Arriving at 15h30pm.
